henlo its been a productive year for the most part i think oops
Total year-long word count: 70,356
Word count by fandom:
daiya - 24,190
kurobas 19,063
haikyuu - 13,817
Fics completed: according to ao3, 45 works (most of them are saso fills probably)
Works-in-progress: lets not go there-- (12 or 13 that i can count lmao, all of which exists only on gdrive)
This year I wrote and posted:
11 non saso fills, 10 not saso things. otherwise 45 works in total including saso things
Looking back, did you write more fic than you thought you would this year, less, or about what you'd predicted?
more defs more.
What pairing/genre/fandom did you write that you would never have predicted in January?
kurobas I THOUGHT I PUT THAT PART OF MY LIFE BEHIND ME WHO KNEW (:3/ but also stride
What's your own favorite story of the year? Not the most popular, but the one that makes you happiest?
personally, very honestly? the aokise manifesto aka intertwined, overrun (softly, w feeling, i love aokise)
Did you take any writing risks this year? What did you learn from them?
the actual writing in general. but also committing to a long-ish fic and to saso taught me a lot about my ability to do things if appropriately motivated and inspired
Story of yours most under-appreciated by the universe, in your opinion:
my yuletide fic bc tiny fandom, but also bc its the newest fic lmao but also bc its still supposed to be a secret i wrote it, though frankly i dont see it gaining much, if any traction
but also heat heart beat, my daiya bang fic
Most fun story to write:
THEY WERE ALL FUN IN THEIR OWN WAYS
Story with the single sexiest moment:
i am a baby i dont write porn (this is a lie, i just need to be Not Sober and Sleep Deprived) here have the krry again its uh, somewhere in the middle heat heart beat
Story that shifted your own perceptions of the characters:
open hands, bc guess who proceeded to have a giant wailing break down abt midorima and teiko during and after writing this fic
Hardest story to write:
heat heart beat
daiya bang fic bc i dont generally do long fic so Wordcount Was A Struggle
Biggest disappointment:
looks at that krry that is still sitting in my gdrive, unfinished
Biggest surprise:
looks at saso in general
Most unintentionally telling story:
coughs touch down, reality, daiya
Favorite opening line(s):
There’s paper scattered everywhere, half-formed wishes, talismans, prayers, blessings. A multitude of things formed from earnest feelings and hopes, coalesced into a whirlwind that Manami stands in the middle of. - paper wishes, yowapeda
Favorite closing line(s):
He looks like something loved, something to be loved.
You think you just might. - snapshots, hq
Favorite 5 line(s) from anywhere:
Being content to let it by is not the same as it ceasing to matter. - vertitur, tkrb
Coming home has been a long process, one that started the day he left, because how can a person come home if they never leave? - and maybe you'll take the long road home, daiya
There is a certain weight to shared history, one that cannot be erased even though the years are gone. - open hands, kurobas
you choose. you choose and you choose and sometimes you make the right choices but often you don’t. sometimes not choosing too, is a choice. - in memoriam, showa genroku rakugo shinjuu
Youichi thinks love doesn’t work the way he pictured at sixteen, something out of fairy tales that worked simply because that was how the story ended. - heat heart beat, daiya
